At Prescott Valley Performing Arts, we believe in the power of storytelling, creativity, and community. For over two decades, we’ve been a home for performers of all ages—a place where passion meets purpose onstage and behind the scenes.

From Mainstage musicals to youth theatre camps and local choir concerts, everything we do is rooted in our mission to inspire, educate, and bring people together through the performing arts.

We’re proud to be a community theatre built by the community, for the community—welcoming newcomers and nurturing lifelong connections through every show we produce.

This is more than a stage—it’s a family.
Welcome to PVPA.

Staff Updates...

We are thrilled to announce that Clay Smith will be joining Prescott Valley Performing Arts and Main Street Theatre as our new Artistic Director, effective March 1, 2026.

Clay brings a rare blend of creative vision, technical expertise, and deep community connection to this role. A writer, director, actor, educator, and co-founder of Endeavor Theatre Co., Clay has been an active and inspiring presence in the Prescott area theatre scene for years. His work spans directing, performance, new play development, Shakespeare adaptation, sound design, and storytelling across stage, film, and print.

As Artistic Director, Clay will shape the creative vision of PVPA, lead season planning, uphold artistic excellence across productions, mentor emerging talent, and collaborate closely with our Executive Committee and Board. His passion for inclusive, community-focused theatre and commitment to developing artists at every level aligns beautifully with PVPA’s mission and future direction.

Please join us in warmly welcoming Clay to the PVPA family. We are excited for what’s ahead and look forward to the creativity, collaboration, and bold storytelling this next chapter will bring.

During this time of transition in leadership, our own Kayla Burke, Business Director, has stepped into more responsibility within her role, as of Feb. 16th.

Kayla brings warmth and hospitality to our theatre, but also knows how to keep everyone organized and on track. Kayla started at our theatre as the parent of a youth actor in the summer of 2023. She has since had 3 of her 4 children in productions and worked her way up into leadership. Her first position was our Volunteer Coordinator, then she added Box Office Manager and Lead House Manager to that. When there came time to fill the Business Director position, it was a natural step in the right direction to offer her the opportunity. As Business Director, Kayla supported the Executive Director and tended to the Front of the House positions.

Kayla has remained our Business Director, but absorbed the responsibilities of the Executive Director and works closely with the Executive Committee and the Board to keep the theatre operating optimally. Her attention to detail and professionalism has been vital to our organization. The next time you come in for a show, say "Hello!" as she is normally keeping a close eye on the operations of the theatre as a whole and encouragement is always welcomed!

  • Business Director

Kayla has worn many hats at the theatre including, Volunteer Coordinator, Board Member and House/Box Office Manager. She has now taken on the role of Business Director and still oversees the Front of the House and Box Office.

She originally got involved with Prescott Valley Performing Arts as a backstage mom during our 2024 Summer Program "Stinky Cheese Man" and has fit in so perfectly with our team!

She is excited to help the theatre grow and make every patron and team member experience a good one!

Any Front of the House or Operational questions can be submitted via email to Kayla at: businessdirector.pvpa@gmail.com

  • Artistic Director

Clay Smith is an actor, director, playwright, novelist, photographer, trivia host, recovered English teacher, and all around ne’er-do-well in Prescott, Arizona, USA. He is excited to join the Main Street Theatre/PVPA team as Artistic Director.

Any Production related questions or concerns can be sent to Clay via email at: artisticdirector@pvperformingarts.org

  • Wardrobe Manager

Rhona has been doing Theatre since high school, and she has been doing costume design since she could pick up a pencil. Her earliest memory is of hand stitching Barbie clothes at age 4! Rhona is very excited about this opportunity to work with our community and kids, and we are excited to have her with our theatre.

  • Community Liaison Director

Clyde founded the theatre after working with other theatre companies in the area and knowing he could make a successful start in Prescott Valley. Starting as Lonesome Valley Playhouse and later Prescott Valley Performing Arts, Clyde held performances in various locations until finally realizing his dream of Main Street Theatre in the Entertainment District of Prescott Valley. PVPA has entertained countless number of people in its original Children's and Family productions, and later adding Teen Theatre and Main Stage. Clyde loves seeing his dream being realized every day through the wonderful people who help make the theatre run.
