Agatha Christie's Mousetrap Auditions


The Mousetrap is a murder mystery play by Agatha Christie. The longest-running West End show, it also has by far the longest run of any play in the world, reaching its 30,000th performance on 19 March 2025.

The Mousetrap features eight distinct characters trapped in the snowbound Monkswell Manor, all harboring secrets related to a past crime.

Main Characters in The Mousetrap:

  • Mollie Ralston: The young, anxious hostess and new owner of Monkswell Manor.

  • Giles Ralston: Mollie’s husband, who is somewhat arrogant, jealous, and suspicious.

  • Christopher Wren: The first guest to arrive, a hyperactive and peculiar young man.

  • Mrs. Boyle: A demanding, unpleasant, and critical older woman.

  • Major Metcalf: A retired military man who is polite and observant.

  • Miss Casewell: A masculine, aloof, and mysterious woman with a hidden past.

  • Mr. Paravicini: A man who arrives unexpectedly, claiming his car overturned in a snowdrift.

  • Detective Sergeant Trotter: A policeman who arrives on skis to investigate a murder. 

The play centers on the suspicion surrounding each guest as they are questioned about their connection to a child abuse case involving "Three Blind Mice".
